This is one of my favorite photos. It is so simple but the contrast and the detail in the leaf is just perfect. I was sitting at my uncles house when I saw this leaf on the ground. I picked it up and admired its detail. I tried to capture it on the table with a reverse lens mount image, but it just didn’t give me the right focus. Then I held it up. It was strikingly beautiful. Holding my camera in one hand and the leaf in the other, I captured what you see here.
This image more than any other I have taken reminds me that you don’t need to go far to get a great shot. If you are open to thinking differently then a whole new world to capture opens up to you.
Cheers!
